This is probably one of the strangest way to prove that our blog is effective and has impact on people.
A friend organization of the ASA, the New Democratic Youth, has informed us through email that the Fired Up blog cannot be accessed in Turkey by court decision. When they try to open the site, this is what appears:
“Bu siteye erim mahkeme kararla engellenmiir.
T.C. Fatih 2.Asliye Hukuk Mahkemesi 2007/195 Nolu Karar?gere簨 bu siteye erim engellenmiir.
Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2.Civil Court of First Instance”
Such measures are both laughable and deplorable.
Now, becoming an alternative source of information and perspective is considered a threat?

All of wordpress is blocked in Turkey, not just your blog. It has something to do with wordpress refusing to censor people’s blogs.
