People from Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, France, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States have led solidarity action in support of the Burmese people’s call for the end of the SPDC-sponsored state terrorism and the immediate democratization of Burma.
From candle-light vigils to marches to the Burmese embassies and their respective government offices, human rights advocates, students and youth, and peace-loving individuals took to the streets and expressed their indignation over the current political crisis in the said country.
Apparently, a Japanese journalist was shot dead at close range by a member of the Burmese military during a violent dispersal last September 26, 2007.
So this is what peace and development in SPDC mean: state terrorism.
