Last night, we had a very successful candle-light vigil as more than 200 people went and stayed in Chater Garden listening to speeches, chanting and singing with performers and expressing their solidarity with the Burmese people who are now calling for withdrawal of the military government and the immediate democratization of Burma.

The State Peace and Development Council of Burma/Myanmar has used brute military and police force as a response to the mounting protests they have been receiving from Buddhist monks and the Burmese people.
